It has come to our attention that a competitor has been issuing misleading information and falsified test results to unsuspecting clients in an attempt to discredit our product. The test facilities from whom these test results are alleged to have been sourced have been notified of this fraudulent activity.
We produce a product that is designed to safeguard your property and we take our testing and compliance very seriously, so in the interest of being transparent we have chosen simply to ensure that we have any required test and compliance documentation available to our valued customers upon request.
Remember: If you feel that you may already be in possession of questionable documentation purporting to be that of our product or simply wish to request information for your building requirements, please contact us and we will happily make arrangements to discuss them and to issue validated and genuine documentation to you.

Who are we?
PIRMAX Pty Ltd is an Australian Family owned company dedicated to manufacturing high quality, compliant PIR panels to the Building Industry in Australia. To ensure that our product quality and suitability remains beyond reproach, all of our products are tested for industry and legal compliance in Australia at NATA Approved Testing Facilities.
To clarify some specifications that were directly challenged:
- What is the K value of Pirmax Pir? – Pirmax has a K value of K 0.020. Tested to AS/NZS 4859.1 (1366.2) for the Thermal Insulation of Buildings. ASTM C 518 – 2010 Standard Test Method for the steady-State Heat Flux Measurements and Thermal Transmission Properties by Means of the Heat Flow Meter Apparatus. “This is one of the allowable test methods for the measure of formed shape (panel or sheet) material for compliance to AS/NZS 4859.1”
- Has Pirmax been tested for ISO 9705-2003? – Yes, Pirmax has a Group 1. ISO 9705 – 2003 / AS 5637.1:2015, Determination of fire hazard properties. The peak heat release rate determined during the test was 0.831 (MW). The test did not reach flashover and supports a Group 1 rating of the ceiling lining system.
- What is the thickness of the foil? – Our foil is .06mm
